About the Miscellaneous era

This hub holds the English releases that sit outside the numbered series, each a small set made for a particular purpose. Southern Islands, released July 31, 2001, is a collection of 18 cards that began in Japan with the second Pokémon film, issued in two promo folders of nine cards, Rainbow Island and Tropical Island, and in three card box sets themed on regions of the islands. Its Mew, Slowking and Marill lead the graded market for the whole hub.

Best of Game, in December 2002, commemorated some of the best playable cards produced by Wizards of the Coast, released through BattleZone tournaments as a parting gift to fans when the company knew its license would end. The Poké Card Creator Pack of July 2004 holds five cards illustrated from the winning entries of the Kids' WB! Poké Card Creator Contest, open to children aged five to fifteen between February 16 and April 10, 2004, with a total of 5,250 packs distributed, which makes its Pikachu, Mudkip, Treecko and Torchic scarce.

Pokémon Rumble, released December 2, 2009 with the WiiWare game of the same name, shows Pokémon as they appear in that game, with no Pokédex entries, Poké-Powers, Poké-Bodies or rarity symbols. Pokémon Futsal, distributed in England from September 11, 2020, came from the partnership between The Pokémon Company International and the English Football Association that began on September 6, 2019. Pokémon Trading Card Game Classic, released November 17, 2023, is a premium boxed game whose cards are listed here as their own set.

The hubs below carry each set's card list, the live chase prices and the editorial notes for each release.
