Pokémon Rumble is a special 16 card collection released on December 2, 2009 alongside the WiiWare game of the same name, known in Japan as Melee! Pokémon Scramble. Every card shows a Pokémon as a wind up toy in the style of the game, with no Pokédex entry, no Poké-Power or Poké-Body and no rarity symbol, and the illustrator box reads Pokémon Rumble instead of an artist credit. The box also holds a large supply of damage counters and a game board so that two to seven players can play a custom format that mimics the video game. The Pokémon Rumble logo on each card is holofoil, and this was the first English set to sort cards by Energy type and then Pokédex number.
Pikachu leads the hub, followed by Mew, Mewtwo, Diglett, Starmie and Rattata, with Gyarados, Skuntank, Ninetales, Bibarel, Venusaur and Lucario behind them. A complete set is 16 cards, so most collectors chase clean copies of Pikachu, Mew and Mewtwo or a sealed box with the board intact. The holofoil logo shows scratches under light, so check it before grading.
