About Pokémon Futsal

What Pokémon Futsal is

Pokémon Futsal is a limited five card collection released through the partnership between The Pokémon Company International and The Football Association, distributed in England from September 11, 2020. The partnership began on September 6, 2019 as a drive to grow futsal across the country, and for the following season it expanded into the card game with five futsal themed cards: Pikachu on the Ball, Eevee on the Ball, Grookey on the Ball, Scorbunny on the Ball and Sobble on the Ball. Four were gifts with purchase through the retailer GAME, in participating stores across England or online, while the fifth came in kit bundles sent to selected applicants of The FA Pokémon Youth Futsal Programme.

What makes Pokémon Futsal different

  • A football partnership set The cards exist because of an FA youth futsal program, which makes them one of the few Pokémon card releases tied to a national sports body.
  • Four at retail, one by mail Only four of the five cards could be picked up at GAME stores; the fifth went out in kit bundles to program applicants, so completing the set means finding that mailed card.

Collecting and grading Pokémon Futsal

The hub checklist for Pokémon Futsal is still being built, so the card list and chase order fill in as Slabfolio adds these five cards and sales arrive. Until then, identify them by the on the Ball names and the numbering out of five. Because the cards were UK gifts with purchase, most surviving copies sit with English collectors, and the mailed fifth card is the hardest to find.
