Storm Emeralda

What Storm Emeralda is

Storm Emeralda is the sixth expansion of the Japanese MEGA era, released on July 31, 2026 under the set code M6. It has 76 cards in the numbered set plus 37 secret rares, 113 in total, on the J regulation mark. Where the sets before it followed Pokémon Legends: Z-A, Storm Emeralda turns to Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, with Mega Rayquaza ex as its central Pokémon, Kyogre and Groudon in the checklist and Hoenn characters such as Zinnia, Aarune and Tate and Liza on its Trainer cards, while Mega Evolution Pokémon from Legends: Z-A still appear.

The numbered set carries eight Double rare Pokémon ex: Mega Golisopod ex, Heat Rotom ex, Wishiwashi ex, Raikou ex, Mega Golurk ex, Mega Malamar ex, Mega Rayquaza ex and Talonflame ex. The secret rares run from 77 to 113, with Illustration rares from Masquerain 77 to Kecleon 88, full art Super Rares of the Pokémon ex, Trainers and three Special Energy cards, Special illustration rares from Mega Golisopod ex 107 to Zinnia's Trust 112 and the gold Mega Rayquaza ex at 113. Colorless is the most represented type at 16 cards.

The set is the Japanese original of the English Delta Reign, scheduled for November 6, 2026.

What makes Storm Emeralda different

• Paired Stadium cards Storm Emeralda introduced Stadium cards sold in pairs that share one artwork split across two cards. The pair is played together as one large card and otherwise follows the normal Stadium rules.
• Mega Rayquaza ex four ways The mascot appears as a Double rare at 58, a full art at 95, Kozuki Minami's Special illustration rare at 110 and takuyoa's gold print at 113, and all four sit in the set's top six.
• Back to Hoenn The set is the first of the MEGA era not built on Pokémon Legends: Z-A, drawing instead on Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire with Zinnia's Trust, Aarune and Tate and Liza's Training among its Supporters.
• Built for Sealed play Storm Emeralda was designed for Sealed format tournaments, where players build decks only from the packs they open, which shapes its balance of Basic Pokémon and Trainers.
• Revealed with Pocket The set was announced together with the English Delta Reign and Ruler of the Skies, a Rayquaza themed set for Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket.

How Storm Emeralda arrived

Storm Emeralda followed Abyss Eye, the Mega Dimension set of May 22, 2026, and preceded 30th Celebration on September 16, 2026. Japan received it on July 31, 2026, with localized Asian releases on August 7, 2026 and August 21, 2026. Each booster pack holds 5 cards and each booster box 30 packs.

Its cards are expected to form the English Delta Reign expansion on November 6, 2026, so for three months the Japanese printing is the only way to hold the new Mega Rayquaza ex, and the early market reflects that.

Collecting and grading Storm Emeralda

The gold Mega Rayquaza ex 113 leads the live prices above by a wide margin, with Kozuki Minami's Special illustration rare Mega Rayquaza ex 110 second and the full art Mega Rayquaza ex 95 fourth. Tomokazu Komiya's Illustration rare Kecleon 88 and Oku's Special illustration rare Raikou ex 108 sit between them, and Teeziro's Zinnia's Trust 112, Nurikabe's Kyogre 80, Takeshi Nakamura's Mega Golurk ex 109, nagimiso's Mega Golisopod ex 107 and Ryota Murayama's Groudon 84 follow.

This is a set weeks old at the time of writing and its prices are still forming ahead of the English Delta Reign. Japanese print quality keeps PSA 10 rates high, so the graded premium concentrates on the Rayquaza prints. The sealed table above tracks what boxes and packs trade for today.
