About McDonald's Collection 2024
What McDonald's Collection 2024 is
McDonald's Collection 2024, promoted as Dragon Discovery, is a 15 card Happy Meal set built around dragons. Most of the Pokémon are Dragon types in the games, joined by favorites such as Pikachu, Umbreon and Jigglypuff. Each Happy Meal came with a four card booster and a sticker activity sheet. The cards mix Sword & Shield series reprints, printed non holo, with Scarlet & Violet series reprints in Confetti Holofoil. Four Happy Meal boxes featured Pikachu and Dragonite, Charizard, Rayquaza and Roaring Moon. The promotion began on December 4, 2024, reached further markets on January 21 and January 23, 2025, then April 23, and ran in the UK from May 14 to June 17, 2025.
What makes McDonald's Collection 2024 different
- Two finishes by era Sword & Shield era cards in the set are non holo while Scarlet & Violet era cards carry Confetti Holofoil, so the finish tells you which series a card came from.
- Dragons and headliners Charizard, Dragonite, Rayquaza and Roaring Moon give the set the strongest lineup of any McDonald's collection, and Charizard leads the hub.
