About Wild Force
What Wild Force is
Wild Force is one half of the fifth Japanese expansion block of the Scarlet & Violet era, released on January 26, 2024 with the set code SV5K alongside its partner set Cyber Judge. It has 71 cards in the numbered set plus 29 secret cards, 100 in total, and it carries the Ancient side of the block, the Paradox Pokémon Gouging Fire ex 12, Walking Wake ex 24 and Raging Bolt ex 53, while Cyber Judge carries their Future counterparts. Together they became the English Temporal Forces of March 22, 2024.
The block reintroduced ACE SPEC cards, first seen in the Black & White Series: powerful Trainer and Special Energy cards with a magenta design, limited to one per deck. Wild Force has three, Awakening Drum 62, Maximum Belt 66 and the Special Energy at 71. The 29 secrets run from 72 to 100: twelve illustration rares from Grotle 72 to Cinccino 83, full arts from 84 to 92, the special illustration rares from Gouging Fire ex 93 to Morty's Confidence 97 and the gold Ancient trio at 98 to 100.
What makes Wild Force different
- Gengar leads The full art Gengar ex 88 by Satoshi Shirai is the most valuable card in the set in PSA 10, with the Gastly 80 illustration rare third and the regular Gengar ex 47 in the top six.
- The Ancient trio Gouging Fire ex, Walking Wake ex and Raging Bolt ex each appear as a double rare, a full art, a special illustration rare and a gold card, and Raging Bolt ex 95 and Walking Wake ex 94 rank fourth and fifth in the set.
- ACE SPEC returns Wild Force brought ACE SPEC cards back after the Black & White Series, and its ACE SPEC Special Energy 71 ranks in the set's top fifteen in PSA 10.
How Wild Force arrived
Wild Force and Cyber Judge released in Japan on January 26, 2024, after Shiny Treasure ex of December 1, 2023 and before Crimson Haze on March 22, 2024, the same day the English Temporal Forces combined both sets with cards from the Starter Deck & Build Sets. Localized releases followed on February 2, 2024, February 23, 2024 and March 6, 2024, and the Korean set arrived on March 29, 2024.
Wild Force products
Wild Force was sold in Japanese booster packs and booster boxes, separately from Cyber Judge. The sealed table above tracks both.
Collecting and grading Wild Force
The full art Gengar ex 88 leads the set in PSA 10, with Morty's Confidence 97 and Gastly 80 behind it, then Raging Bolt ex 95, Walking Wake ex 94, the regular Gengar ex 47, Snom 73, Gouging Fire ex 93, the regular Feraligatr 15 and Minccino 82. The live chase list above ranks every tracked card by PSA 10 value.
