About Miracle of the Desert
What Miracle of the Desert is
Miracle of the Desert is the second expansion of the ADV era in Japan, released on April 18, 2003 with 53 cards. It continued the Generation III rollout that began with the ADV Expansion Pack and carried a set of Pokémon ex including Typhlosion ex, Wailord ex, Raichu ex, Gardevoir ex and Aggron ex. The English EX Sandstorm of September 18, 2003 expanded the pool to 100 cards and became the first Pokémon USA expansion with a dedicated prerelease promo, the stamped Armaldo. Japanese packs carried 1st Edition marks, and those prints lead the hub.
What makes Miracle of the Desert different
- Johto and Hoenn ex mix Raichu ex and Typhlosion ex sit beside Wailord ex, Gardevoir ex and Aggron ex, so the set's ex slate spans three generations of favorites.
- Compact Japanese checklist At 53 cards the Japanese set is about half the size of EX Sandstorm, and the English extras came from other Japanese products.
