About Lost Link

What Lost Link is

Lost Link is the only subset of the LEGEND era in Japan, released on April 16, 2010 as a Strength Pack with 40 cards. Its packs held seven cards instead of the usual eleven and contained no Energy cards. The set is built around the Lost Zone mechanic, with four Pokémon Prime, Magnezone, Gengar, Mew and Absol, and the two card Darkrai & Cresselia LEGEND. Its cards reached English players split between Triumphant and Call of Legends, which is why Gengar Prime and Mew Prime belong to different English sets even though they share this Japanese checklist.

What makes Lost Link different

  • Seven card packs, no Energy Strength Pack boosters were smaller than a regular pack and skipped Energy cards entirely, so every slot went to a playable card.
  • Lost Zone theme Gengar Prime, Mew Prime and the Lost Remover Item all send cards to the Lost Zone, and Gengar Prime became the engine of the Lost World decks that followed.

Lost Link products

Collecting and grading Lost Link

Gengar Prime leads the hub, followed by Mew Prime, both halves of Darkrai & Cresselia LEGEND, the holo Snorlax, Magnezone Prime, Absol Prime and the holo Lucario. Dragonite, Pachirisu and Zangoose lead the regular cards and Lost Remover is the top trainer. Pokémon Prime have holofoil borders that chip at the corners, and a LEGEND is only worth grading as a matched pair, so check both halves before buying one.
