The XY era brought the Kalos region to the card game. Collection X and Collection Y released on December 13, 2013 with 60 cards and 3 secret cards each, the first sets with Generation VI Pokémon, headlined by Xerneas and Yveltal. They introduced M Pokémon-EX, Mega Evolved Pokémon-EX, and became the English XY set of February 5, 2014. The XY-P Promotional cards had begun earlier, with the first card given out at the Pokémon Game Show in August 2013, before the XY Beginning Set of November 2013 opened the era's products.
Wild Blaze, on March 15, 2014 with 80 cards and 10 secret cards, put Charizard in both its Mega Evolved forms at the center and introduced secret prints of M Pokémon-EX, becoming Flashfire. Rising Fist, on June 14, 2014, was built around Lucario and became Furious Fists, and Phantom Gate, on September 13, 2014, centered on Gengar and introduced Spirit Link, Pokémon Tools that let a Pokémon Mega Evolve without ending the turn, becoming Phantom Forces.
The era then turned to Hoenn. Gaia Volcano and Tidal Storm, on December 13, 2014 with 70 cards and 10 secret cards each, featured Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre and introduced Ancient Traits, becoming Primal Clash. The Concept Pack Magma Gang VS Aqua Gang: Double Crisis followed on January 30, 2015 as the era's first subset, with team logos on the attack box and a Grunt's headshot beside the Pokédex entry, and reached English as Double Crisis. Emerald Break on March 14, 2015 became Roaring Skies, and Bandit Ring, on June 20, 2015 with 81 cards and 16 secret cards, closed the main expansions with Hoopa Unbound and secret prints of Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon, becoming Ancient Origins.
The Legendary Shine Collection of July 18, 2015 ended the era alongside the eighteenth movie, The Archdjinni of the Rings: Hoopa, with gloss coated cards carrying a special holofoil inset, four to a pack instead of five, and its cards were folded into the English BREAKthrough.
The full art and secret rare Pokémon-EX and M Pokémon-EX are the era's chase cards. The set hubs below carry every card list, the live chase prices ranked by PSA 10 value and the editorial history of each release.
