About McDonald's Collection 2013
What McDonald's Collection 2013 is
McDonald's Collection 2013 was released only in French McDonald's Happy Meals, available in 2013 from October 13 to November 26. Its 12 cards are reprints from the Black & White, Emerging Powers, Next Destinies and Dark Explorers expansions, and the checklist is built around Eevee and all seven of its evolutions, with Pikachu, Timburr and Scraggy filling the remaining slots. Six toys came with the promotion, based on Pikachu, Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, Eevee and Mewtwo. Because the cards were never printed in English, the Standard format of that season did not count the reprints.
What makes McDonald's Collection 2013 different
- An Eeveelution set in a Happy Meal Eight of the 12 cards are Eevee and its evolutions, which makes this the only McDonald's set collectors chase as a themed run rather than a random assortment.
- French text only The set exists only in French, so it is the one McDonald's Collection that North American collectors must import.
Collecting and grading McDonald's Collection 2013
Umbreon leads the hub, followed by Jolteon, Glaceon, Pikachu, Vaporeon, Eevee, Flareon, Espeon and Leafeon, with Timburr and Scraggy at the bottom. The hub tracks no sealed rows. Umbreon and Espeon in clean condition are the cards worth grading, since French Happy Meal cards were handled by children and rarely survived unscratched.
