About PokéKyun Collection
What PokéKyun Collection is
PokéKyun Collection is the first subset of the Japanese XY BREAK era, a Concept Pack released on January 29, 2016 under the set code CP3. It has 32 cards, 13 commons, 12 uncommons and 7 double rares, and every card carries a gloss coating with a special holofoil inset. Its cards reached English collectors as the Radiant Collection inside Generations.
The set is built around cute and pretty Pokémon, from Chikorita 1, Charmander 3 and Pikachu 10 to Dedenne 12, Jirachi 15, Sylveon and Diancie 27, with a Floral Crown 31 Tool and Wally 32 as its Trainers. The 7 double rares are Flareon EX 6 and its full art 7, Pikachu 10, Gardevoir EX 19 and M Gardevoir EX 20 and Sylveon EX 25 and its full art 26.
What sets the cards apart is the charm printed on the left side of each artwork, said to tell a story about the Pokémon in the illustration: a Ribbon for charming, a Droplet for sorrow, a Heart for close friends, a Star for a magnificent battler, a Clover for pure and a Book for story. Packs held four cards instead of the usual five.
What makes PokéKyun Collection different
- The PokéKyun Pikachu Pikachu 10 is the most valuable card in the set in PSA 10, ahead of every Pokémon-EX, and its Radiant Collection reprint in Generations became one of the best known Pikachu cards of the XY Series.
- Charms that tell a story Each card carries a small charm beside the artwork that describes the Pokémon in the picture, a Ribbon, Droplet, Heart, Star, Clover or Book, a design particular to this concept pack.
- Sylveon and Flareon full arts The full art Sylveon EX 26 and Flareon EX 7 rank second and third in the set in PSA 10, well ahead of their regular prints at 25 and 6, and with M Gardevoir EX 20 and Gardevoir EX 19 they make up the top five.
- Gloss and holofoil on every card All 32 cards share the same gloss coating and holofoil inset, so the commons Chikorita 1, Charmander 3, Charmeleon 4 and Espurr 16 grade and trade like holofoils and all rank in the set's top fifteen in PSA 10.
- Four card packs PokéKyun Collection packs held four cards rather than five, a format that makes the 32 card set quick to complete from a single box.
How PokéKyun Collection arrived
PokéKyun Collection released in Japan on January 29, 2016, seven weeks after Rage of the Broken Heavens on December 11, 2015 and seven weeks before Awakening Psychic King on March 18, 2016. It followed the Legendary Shine Collection and preceded the Premium Champion Pack among the era's Concept Packs.
The English Generations set folded the PokéKyun cards into its Radiant Collection, which is where English collectors know the charm Pikachu, Sylveon EX and Flareon EX from, and the Japanese cards are tracked here as the original prints of that artwork.
The set's small size and four card packs have kept it scarce, and the charm design remains its signature.

Collecting and grading PokéKyun Collection
Pikachu 10 leads the set in PSA 10, with the full art Sylveon EX 26 and Flareon EX 7 behind it, then M Gardevoir EX 20, Gardevoir EX 19, the regular Flareon EX 6 and Sylveon EX 25, Charizard 5, Jirachi 15 and Dedenne 12. Altaria 29, Charmeleon 4, Chikorita 1, Charmander 3 and Espurr 16 complete the top fifteen. The live chase list above ranks every tracked card by PSA 10 value.
The gloss coating shows scratches readily, so PSA 10 copies of Pikachu 10 and the two full arts are scarce and carry a wide premium over PSA 9. Because every card is glossy and holofoil, even the commons are graded in numbers and trade well above their raw prices.
