About Fever-Burst Fighter
What Fever-Burst Fighter is
Fever-Burst Fighter is one half of the fourth and final expansion block of the XY BREAK era in Japan, released on June 17, 2016 alongside Cruel Traitor. Each half has 50 unique cards and the two share 4 more, and Fever-Burst Fighter runs 54 numbered cards plus 5 secret rares for 59 in total. The block brought back dual type Pokémon, drawn with a diagonal split across the card that shows each type's color, and it featured the Steam Pokémon Volcanion. Volcanion EX, Steelix EX and M Steelix EX headline this half. The English Steam Siege combined both halves into 116 cards on August 3, 2016.
What makes Fever-Burst Fighter different
- Dual types return Dual type Pokémon came back in this block with a new diagonal two color design, and several of them appear as BREAK evolutions such as Pyroar BREAK and Xerneas BREAK.
- Volcanion's set Volcanion EX appears in regular, full art and secret rare form, and all three prints sit in the top half of the hub along with the 1st Edition copies.

Collecting and grading Fever-Burst Fighter
The full art Pokémon Ranger leads the hub, an unusual result for an Item card, followed by the full art Steelix EX, the secret and full art Volcanion EX and M Steelix EX. Pyroar BREAK, Xerneas BREAK and Chandelure lead the regular cards, and 1st Edition prints carry a premium throughout. XY era Japanese full arts show print lines across the texture, so tilt the card under light and check for straight vertical lines before you submit.
