About Dragon Selection

What Dragon Selection is

Dragon Selection, sold in Japan as Expansion Pack Dragon Selection, is the first subset of the Japanese BW era, released on January 27, 2012 in the Year of the Dragon. It has 20 cards, every one a holofoil, and it introduced the Dragon type to the card game with the Dratini, Bagon and Axew lines, Latias 9, Latios 10, Rayquaza 11 and Druddigon 17 plus three Trainers, Exp. Share 18, First Ticket 19 and Super Rod 20. The English Dragon Vault of October 5, 2012 reprinted the set with a secret Kyurem 21 and sold its packs only in blisters, while the Japanese subset had its own booster boxes. The first Japanese print run carries a 1st Edition mark.
