Trick or Trade 2024

What Trick or Trade 2024 is

Trick or Trade 2024 is the 2024 Halloween release of the Pokémon Trading Card Game, a set of 30 cards first released on August 30, 2024 under the set code TT24. The cards come only in the Trick or Trade BOOster Bundle, a box of 35 mini packs with three cards each, made for handing out on Halloween, and every card is a reprint from a Scarlet & Violet Series set with a Pikachu jack-o'-lantern stamp.

The 30 cards keep their original set numbers and come from six expansions: Paldea Evolved, Obsidian Flames, Paradox Rift, Paldean Fates, Temporal Forces and Twilight Masquerade, the last of which supplies eleven of them including Sinistcha 22, Teal Mask Ogerpon 24, Munkidori 95, Fezandipiti 96 and Okidogi 111. The Ghost and Dark themed picks give the set its Halloween flavor: Gengar 57 and Mimikyu 37 from Paldean Fates, Darkrai 136, Umbreon 130 and Houndour 131 from Obsidian Flames and Gastly 102 and Haunter 103 from Temporal Forces, with Pikachu 18 as the mascot.

The mini packs are not random. Each is one of ten pre sorted packs with no overlap between them, so the whole 30 card set can be completed in ten packs.

What makes Trick or Trade 2024 different

• Ten pre sorted packs Every mini pack is one of ten fixed three card packs with no overlap, so ten packs complete the set and a 35 pack bundle holds three and a half full sets.
• The jack-o'-lantern stamp Each card is a stamped reprint carrying a Pikachu jack-o'-lantern mark, the only thing that separates it from the regular print in its home set, and the stamp is what collectors grade and pay for.
• Six source sets The 30 cards draw on Paldea Evolved, Obsidian Flames, Paradox Rift, Paldean Fates, Temporal Forces and Twilight Masquerade, keeping their original numbers and their G or H regulation marks.
• Ghosts and Dark types Gengar, Mimikyu, Darkrai, Umbreon, Houndour, Gastly and Haunter carry the Halloween theme, and Gengar 57, Darkrai 136, Pikachu 18 and Mimikyu 37 are the cards that lead the set's market in PSA 10.
• Made to give away The BOOster Bundle was sold for Halloween giveaways, which means most packs were opened by children and few cards were kept mint, the reason stamped commons grade far above their raw prices.

How Trick or Trade 2024 arrived

Trick or Trade 2024 released on August 30, 2024, two weeks after the Play! Pokémon Prize Pack Series Five on August 14, 2024 and two weeks before Stellar Crown on September 13, 2024, in time for the Halloween season. It followed the earlier Trick or Trade releases with the same BOOster Bundle format of 35 three card mini packs.

The 2024 selection leaned on Twilight Masquerade, the newest main expansion at the time, for eleven of its 30 cards, and reached back to Paldea Evolved and Obsidian Flames for the rest, with Paldean Fates supplying the Gengar and Mimikyu that became its most collected cards.

A Booster Bundle in a 120 pack case was also sold for larger giveaways, and the set is tracked here as its own hub because the stamped cards trade separately from their unstamped originals.

Trick or Trade 2024 was sold only as the BOOster Bundle, so there is no booster box. The sealed table above tracks the bundle, the larger case and loose mini packs.

Collecting and grading Trick or Trade 2024

Gengar 57 leads the set in PSA 10, with Darkrai 136, Pikachu 18, Mimikyu 37 and Umbreon 130 behind it, then Haunter 103, Fuecoco 23, Houndour 131, Gastly 102 and Flutter Mane 78 and the Twilight Masquerade trio of Okidogi 111, Munkidori 95 and Fezandipiti 96. The live chase list above ranks every tracked card by PSA 10 value.

The cards are commons, uncommons and holofoil rares that cost very little raw, but the stamp and the giveaway format keep PSA 10 copies scarce, so the gap between raw and PSA 10 is wider than in almost any regular set. Complete stamped sets of all 30 cards are easy to assemble from a single bundle and trade as a unit.

Sealed bundles are tracked in the sealed table above.
