About McDonald's Collection 2016
What McDonald's Collection 2016 is
McDonald's Collection 2016 was a European release, handed out in McDonald's Happy Meals at different times in different countries from August to December 2016 alongside that year's Pokémon toys. Its 12 cards are reprints from various XY series expansions with a new set symbol and numbering, and the checklist mixes fan favorites from several regions: Magikarp, Eevee, Vulpix, Jigglypuff, Meowth, Togepi and Pikachu sit beside Totodile, Torchic, Fennekin, Dedenne and Scraggy. Sixteen toys were offered, each with one card.
What makes McDonald's Collection 2016 different
- Europe only The 2016 set never reached North America, so the cards carry European language text and are imports for American collectors.
- Cute favorites over starters Magikarp, Eevee, Jigglypuff and Togepi make this the most character driven McDonald's checklist of the XY years, and Magikarp leads the hub.
Collecting and grading McDonald's Collection 2016
Magikarp leads the hub, followed by Eevee, Vulpix, Scraggy, Jigglypuff and Meowth, with Dedenne, Togepi, Totodile, Torchic, Fennekin and Pikachu completing the set. No sealed rows are tracked. Because the cards came loose with toys, clean copies of Magikarp and Eevee are the ones worth keeping or grading.
