Journey Together

What Journey Together is

Journey Together is the ninth main expansion of the Scarlet & Violet Series, released in English on March 28, 2025 under the set code JTG. It has 159 cards in the numbered set plus 31 secret rares, 190 in total. It brought Trainer's Pokémon back to the game for the first time in a main expansion since EX Team Magma vs Team Aqua, built around four Trainers and their partners: N and Zoroark, Iono and Bellibolt, Lillie and Clefairy, and Hop and Zacian, each Pokémon ex appearing as a Double rare, an Ultra rare and a Special illustration rare.

The checklist holds 16 Double rare Pokémon ex, four of them Trainer's Pokémon, 16 rares, 11 Illustration rares, 11 Ultra rares including the Supporters Brock's Scouting, Iris's Fighting Spirit and Ruffian, six Special illustration rares and three gold Hyper rares, Iono's Bellibolt ex, N's Zoroark ex and Spiky Energy. Colorless is the most represented type at 29 cards, and most cards carry the I regulation mark with 58 reprints on H.

The cards come from the Japanese Battle Partners expansion of January 24, 2025 plus several cards from the Generations Start Decks, and the set was the first printed in Latin American Spanish.

How Journey Together arrived

Japan released Battle Partners on January 24, 2025. The English Journey Together followed on March 28, 2025, between Play! Pokémon Prize Pack Series Six in February and Destined Rivals on May 30, 2025.

Prerelease tournaments ran on the weekends of March 15 to 16 and March 22 to 23, 2025, with a Build & Battle Box holding a 40 card ready to play deck, four booster packs, a tip sheet and a code card, built around one of four SVP Black Star Promos: N's Darmanitan 181, Iono's Kilowattrel 182, Lillie's Ribombee 183 or Hop's Snorlax 184.

Launch day brought the two Elite Trainer Boxes, regular and Enhanced display boxes of 36 packs with 18 pack half displays in Europe, the Booster Bundle, Single Pack and Three Pack Blisters with Cosmos Holofoil Yanma, Scraggy, Yanmega and Scrafty promos that began as Japanese Pokémon Card Gym promos, Premium Checklane Blisters with the Rhyperior and Klinklang lines, Stage 1 Blisters with Melmetal and Archaludon, and Ultra PRO portfolios. Several cards later resurfaced as Cosmos Holofoils in Mega Evolution blisters, including Meowscarada 18, Articuno 32, Lycanroc 85 and Tyranitar 95, and Iris's Fighting Spirit 149 became a Regionals 2025 promo.

Journey Together products and what came in them

The Elite Trainer Box holds nine booster packs, a full art N's Zorua promo (SVP Promo 189), 65 card sleeves, four dividers, 45 basic Energy cards, a player's guide, six damage counter dice, a coin flip die, two Special Condition markers and a code card. The Pokémon Center version adds two more packs and a second N's Zorua with the Pokémon Center stamp. The Enhanced Booster Display Box adds the stamped N's Reshiram box topper to a standard 36 pack display, marked by a red graphic on the front flap.

Collecting and grading Journey Together

Susumu Maeya's Special illustration rare Lillie's Clefairy ex 184 is the most valuable pack pulled card in the set, followed by Tsuyoshi Nagano's Salamence ex 187, Kuroimori's Illustration rare Articuno 161, Katsunori Sato's Wailord 162 and Bun Toujo's N's Reshiram 167, whose stamped box topper version ranks above the pack print. Megumi Mizutani's N's Zoroark ex 185, DOM's Hop's Zacian ex 186 and Yuu Nishida's Iono's Bellibolt ex 183 complete the Special illustration rare tier.

The top of the live chase list is crowded with variants and noise. The stamped Hop's Snorlax 117 promos are gift with purchase cards, and the regular Tyranitar 95, Magmar 20, the Cosmos Holofoil Wailord 41 and the reverse holofoil N's Klang 104 show PSA 10 prices hundreds of times their raw value on a handful of sales. Match the variant label in the checklist and treat those numbers as thin market noise.

Journey Together is plentiful in sealed form, and the sealed table above tracks regular and Enhanced booster boxes, both Elite Trainer Boxes, the Build & Battle Box, the bundle and the blisters.
