About Undone Seal
What Undone Seal is
Undone Seal is the fifth and final expansion of the ADV era in Japan, released on January 16, 2004 with 83 cards, the last Japanese set to carry the ADV prefix before the PCG era began. It brought the legendary golems Regirock, Regice and Registeel into the card game as Pokémon ex alongside Groudon ex, Kyogre ex, Ninetales ex and Vileplume ex, and it became the base of the English EX Hidden Legends set of June 14, 2004, which grew to 102 cards with a secret Groudon. Japanese packs carried 1st Edition marks, and those prints lead the hub.
What makes Undone Seal different
- The Regi trio as ex Regirock, Regice and Registeel each received a Pokémon ex here, and all three rank in the top ten of the hub in 1st Edition.
- Last of the ADV era Undone Seal closed the ADV prefix, and the PCG-P promotional series that followed took its name from the PCG era that began with the next expansion.

Collecting and grading Undone Seal
Machop is the surprise leader of the hub, followed by Ninetales ex and Groudon ex in both prints, 1st Edition Regice ex, Kyogre ex, Registeel ex, Ninetales and Regirock ex. 1st Edition copies rank above unlimited throughout. ADV era ex cards silver along the edges and the holo layer scratches easily, so confirm the 1st Edition mark and inspect the edges before paying a premium.
