About Ultra Force
What Ultra Force is
Ultra Force is a subset of the Sun & Moon era in Japan, released on January 19, 2018 as an Enhanced Expansion Pack that builds on the fifth main expansion, Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. It has 50 numbered cards plus 13 secret rares for 63 in total. Every card in the subset is printed as a mirror holofoil, and the non secret cards other than Pokémon GX and Prism Star cards carry no rarity symbol. Lucario GX, Dialga GX, Palkia GX and Naganadel GX headline, Arceus appears as a Prism Star, and Ultra Recon Squad has a full art print. Its cards joined the Japanese Forbidden Light in the English release of the same name.
What makes Ultra Force different
- Mirror holo on every card Like Facing a New Trial before it, the whole subset is mirror holofoil with no rarity symbols on the regular cards, so it stands out in a binder.
- Sinnoh legends in Ultra Space Dialga GX, Palkia GX and Arceus Prism Star continue the alternate Sinnoh theme of Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, and Arceus Prism Star ranks third in the hub.
Ultra Force products
Collecting and grading Ultra Force
The rainbow Lucario GX leads the hub, followed by the rainbow Dialga GX, Arceus Prism Star, Piplup, the full art Dialga GX, Palkia GX, the rainbow Naganadel GX and the full art Lucario GX. The gold Energy Recycler and the full art Ultra Recon Squad lead the trainers. Mirror holofoil shows surface scratches under angled light more than a plain card does, so check the whole face before grading.
