About Dark Order
What Dark Order is
Dark Order is the eleventh subset of the Sun & Moon era in Japan, released on October 5, 2018 as an Enhanced Expansion Pack that built on the eighth main expansion, Super-Burst Impact. It runs 52 numbered cards plus 13 secret rares for 65 in total. The theme leans on Team Skull, Team Rocket style villainy and Dark and Metal types: Ampharos GX, Hoopa GX, Incineroar GX and Cobalion GX headline, Tapu Koko and the Black Market Stadium appear as Prism Star cards, and Nanu and Jasmine get full art Supporter treatment. Its cards were later folded into the English Team Up expansion.
What makes Dark Order different
- Small set, heavy secret slate Thirteen of the 65 cards are secrets: four full art GX, two full art Supporters, four rainbow rare GX and three gold Item cards, Electrocharger, Dangerous Drill and Metal Goggles.
- Prism Star pair Tapu Koko Prism Star and the Black Market Prism Star Stadium sit in the regular numbering, giving the subset two of the era's one per deck cards.
Dark Order products
Collecting and grading Dark Order
Dark Order is cheap to complete in the regular numbering, so the money sits in the secret slate. The rainbow rare Ampharos GX leads the hub, with the full art Jasmine and Ampharos GX, Hoopa GX and Cobalion GX secrets close behind, and the Tapu Koko Prism Star is the most collected card outside the secrets. Japanese Sun & Moon secrets have textured surfaces that hide light scratches, so check the edges and the gold borders under light before grading.
