About the DPt era

The DPt era is the Japanese counterpart of the English Platinum Series, four expansions drawn from Pokémon Platinum Version. Galactic's Conquest opened it on October 10, 2008 with 96 cards featuring Team Galactic and Giratina and Shaymin in both of their Formes, and reached English as Platinum on February 11, 2009. It introduced Pokémon SP, Basic Pokémon owned by a specific Trainer, printed with a yellow and gray card border, an SP symbol at bottom left and a headshot of the owner at the bottom right corner of the artwork. Team Galactic's Pokémon were the first variant.

Each expansion added owners to the SP roster. Bonds to the End of Time, on December 26, 2008 with 90 cards, brought the Gym Leaders and Elite Four of the Sinnoh League, with Pokémon they used in Pokémon Platinum Version, and became Rising Rivals on May 16, 2009. Beat of the Frontier, on March 6, 2009 with 100 cards, added Cynthia and the Frontier Brains and became Supreme Victors on August 19, 2009. Advent of Arceus closed the era on July 8, 2009 with 90 cards built around the Alpha Pokémon Arceus, released ten days before the twelfth movie, Arceus: To a Conquering Spacetime, premiered on July 18, 2009. It became the English Arceus set on November 4, 2009.

Pokémon LV.X continued through every set of the era alongside Pokémon SP, and the DPt-P Promotional cards started alongside Galactic's Conquest, replacing the DP-P suffix.

The Flying Pikachu of Bonds to the End of Time is the era's best known collector card, and the Pokémon LV.X and the SP versions of the Sinnoh Gym Leaders' and Elite Four's Pokémon carry the rest of the market. The set hubs below carry every card list, the live chase prices ranked by PSA 10 value and the editorial history of each release.
