The Call of Legends Series consists of one set. Call of Legends released as a main expansion on February 9, 2011, three months after Triumphant and two months before Black & White, and was the last expansion of Generation IV. It was originally released as the only entry in its own series, and while it carries a distinct series code, the official list of expansions places it within the HeartGold & SoulSilver Series.
The set has no single Japanese equivalent. Its main cards reprint Pokémon from the HeartGold & SoulSilver era, and it featured the Legendary Pokémon that had appeared as Pokémon LEGEND throughout that series. Those Legendary Pokémon also received secret prints, the Shiny Legends numbered SL1 to SL11, which originated from the Japanese L-P Promotional cards and show each Pokémon in Shiny coloring on a holofoil frame.
The Shiny Legends are the reason the set matters to collectors. Rayquaza SL10 is the most valuable card in the set by a wide margin, with Deoxys SL1, Lugia SL7, Palkia SL8, Raikou SL9 and Entei SL3 behind it, and the regular holofoil Lugia and Rayquaza follow. Because the set was a reprint set released at the end of an era, it was opened less than its neighbors, and high grade Shiny Legends are scarce.
The set hub below carries the full card list with the SL rows, the live chase and sealed prices and the editorial history of the release. The era navigation links to the HeartGold & SoulSilver hub that precedes it and the Black & White hub that follows.
